How This Branding Package Brought Rebecca’s Vision to Life
Rebecca reached out to me for a full brand refresh, looking for support with both her brand design and photography. As a social media manager, she wanted a cohesive visual identity—complete with a new brand design, a library of professional images for Instagram, and the potential for a logo at a later date. She chose my Branding Package, which meant we could develop her brand’s visual strategy holistically, ensuring everything—from colours to typography to photography—worked seamlessly together.
To kick things off, I asked Rebecca to create a Pinterest mood board with inspiration for brand photography, design styles, colours, and fonts she liked. We went through these in our first online meeting, discussing the look and feel she wanted and mapping out ideas for her photoshoot. We explored different location options and planned a mix of casual headshots, behind-the-scenes shots, and wider images that would allow space for text overlays in her Instagram posts.
Rebecca was drawn to bold, bright colours—particularly pinks and yellows—and was considering the name Sunshine Socials for her brand. We played with the idea of incorporating suns, vibrant flowers, and lush greenery into her branding. For fonts, we chose a contrasting mix—one with a handwritten feel for personality and a classic serif for readability. Initially, we leaned towards vivid, saturated colours, but after some experimenting, we settled on a balanced palette that felt fresh and dynamic without being too pastel. All the colours work beautifully alone or in combination.
On delivery, Rebecca received a complete brand guide, including:
✔ Brand guidelines detailing her colour palette, fonts, and visual direction
✔ Reference images to guide her design choices
✔ Custom illustrations of flowers and plants in her brand colours, ready to use in Canva or Adobe Express
✔ All the images from her brand photoshoot, giving her a bank of visuals to use across her platforms
