Capturing the Beauty of Nature: Landscape Photography
Where Hiking and Landscape Photography Come Together
Landscape photography is where my love for nature and walking come together. The Great Outdoors is where I find peace and quiet, allowing me to recharge and clear my mind.
I aim to walk every day, whether it’s a short stroll near home or a bigger hike in the Lake District, and my camera is always with me. I love tracking my walks—partly for fun, partly for safety, and partly so I can do them again if I want. Combining this with my photography, I thought it would be great to share some of these routes with you.
What started as a goal to log all the fells in the Lake District grew into a full network of walks. I’m a big fan of baby sling-wearing and hoping to inspire my kids to love the outdoors too. So I’ve started including whether the walks are dog, sling, and toddler-friendly, too.
I hope these walks inspire you to explore, enjoy the beauty around you, and make memories along the way.
All the Fells in the Lake District
It took me a while after moving to Manchester to realise just how incredible the Lake District is—and even longer to come across Alfred Wainwright. But once I did, I couldn’t resist the challenge of walking all the fells. Follow my journey as I capture them one by one!
Peak District Circulars
Inspired by the 2005 version of Pride & Prejudice, I started exploring the Peak District soon after moving to Manchester. These circular walks came from my search for epic yet manageable routes—within driving distance, baby- and toddler-friendly, and just the right length to enjoy.
Lake District Circulars
Like the Peak District Circulars, these walks are shorter and baby/toddler-friendly. They often include an Outer Fell, but sometimes the highlight is the stunning views or a great playpark along the way.
TraveL Photography
Most of my travels in recent years have been between the UK and Belgium to visit family, but I’ve still managed to explore some incredible places—capturing photos along the way that I’m excited to share with you here.
Hi, I’m Sarah from foubography
I’m a freelance photographer and Squarespace web designer based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. Growing up in Belgium, I caught the Great Outdoors bug on a trip to Scotland in 2000. Armed with a little film camera—this was pre-digital days—I fell in love with the stunning landscapes and haven’t stopped taking photos (or visiting Scotland) since!
