Woodhill Glamping: Custom Artwork
Hand drawn floor plan
Custom artwork for Woodhill Glamping, inspired by the style of Alfred Wainwright, should capture the essence of the glamping site while presenting an intricate floor plan that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The artwork can feature hand-drawn elements reminiscent of Wainwright's iconic sketching style, incorporating organic lines and natural textures to reflect the surrounding environment.
The central focus of the artwork will be the detailed layout of the glamping site, showcasing each accommodation unit, communal areas, and amenities. This might include a stylised representation of luxurious tents, cozy cabins, and thoughtfully placed fire pits. The paths connecting these features can be illustrated with gentle curves, suggesting a natural flow through the space.
Incorporate elements of the landscape, such as trees, hills, and water features, surrounding the site to give viewers a sense of place and serenity. Use a muted colour palette that embodies Wainwright's affinity for earthy tones, utilising soft greens, browns, and blues to harmonise with the outdoor setting.
Label each feature clearly but artistically, embedding textual elements within the illustration in a way that complements the overall design. The title "Woodhill Glamping Floor Plan" can be displayed prominently at the top, styled in a font that echoes the hand-drawn aesthetic.
This custom artwork will serve not only as a practical guide for visitors but also as a visually appealing representation of the tranquil and inviting nature of Woodhill Glamping, embodying the spirit of adventure and relaxation that Wainwright himself celebrated in his works.
Photo edits for the banner photo on the home page
Original photo
To enhance the overview image of the site for use as the homepage banner, I focused on creating a more aesthetically pleasing composition by eliminating distracting elements. I selected the original image that featured a silo and ongoing building works, which detracted from the overall visual appeal.
The edited photo with the construction work and the silo removed.
Using editing software like Photoshop, I meticulously removed the silo from the foreground, ensuring the background remained seamless and natural. The area where the silo was located was filled in with content that matched the surrounding landscape, maintaining continuity in the image.
Next, I addressed the building works by applying tools to blend them out of focus and replaced them with unobtrusive elements that complemented the scene. I adjusted the lighting and colour balance to create a cohesive look, enhancing the vibrancy of the landscape while ensuring that the colours were soft and inviting.
Once these adjustments were complete, I cropped the image to an optimal size for the banner, ensuring that key focal points were centred and proportional. The final result is a clean, engaging overview image that beautifully represents the essence of the site, perfect for making a striking first impression on the homepage.
